Caffeine per can does not tell you how strong a drink really is, because cans come in different sizes. This chart divides each can’s label caffeine by its size so you can compare drinks fairly. Strongest per ounce is at the top.

Energy drink Standard can Caffeine per can Caffeine per fl oz
Bang 16 fl oz 300 mg 18.8 mg
Reign 16 fl oz 300 mg 18.8 mg
Alani Nu 12 fl oz 200 mg 16.7 mg

Values are the standard can size and caffeine amount printed on manufacturer labels, checked October 2026. Flavors and limited editions can differ, so always read the label on your can. Mg per fl oz is calculated as caffeine divided by can size and rounded to one decimal.

How to read the chart

A 16 fl oz can with 200 mg of caffeine is milder per sip than a 12 fl oz can with 200 mg, even though the can total is the same. Per-ounce strength matters if you sip slowly, split a can, or compare sizes. Per-can caffeine matters for your daily total. The FDA cites 400 mg a day as an amount not generally associated with negative effects for most healthy adults, and individual sensitivity varies.

GHOST vs Alani Nu

Both list 200 mg per can, but the cans are different sizes, so GHOST (16 fl oz) is milder per ounce than Alani Nu (12 fl oz). See the full side-by-side in our GHOST vs Alani Nu comparison.
